One of the major revenue earning organisations of the Government of West Bengal has one of its district wings in Bankura also. The HQ of Bankura District Excise administration is located at the Collectorate compound at Bankura and its organisational set up is headed by the Collector of Excise under the administrative control of the Honourable District Magistrate & Collector, Bankura.
The primitive objective of Bankura District Excise is to minimise the all kinds of liquor crime within this district as well as to augment the Excise revenue earned from this district. Throughout the year preventive activities are being conducted extensively by the district excise administration on regular basis. All the excise licensed premises of this district are being regulated by district excise administration by random inspection and frequent visit with strict surveillance.
